October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month!

All treats, no tricks! We are celebrating Adopt A Shelter Dog Month by reducing our adult dog adoption fees to $50! This special is for all dogs over 1 year old. All of our shelter dogs are spayed/neutered, current on basic vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested, and given flea/heartworm preventative. Adopters can also subscribe to a free month of pet insurance for their new pet!

How to Adopt
Step One: Submit an adoption application at https://humanesocietystjc.org/adopt/apply-to-adopt/
Step Two: Wait patiently as Humane Society staff process your application. An Adoption Specialist will contact you to discuss what sort of dog would be best for your family and lifestyle. They will then set up an appointment for you & your household members to meet shelter pets!
Step Three: Fall in love and take home your new best friend!

The Adoption Center is open for walk-in visitors from 2:00pm-4:30pm Monday-Saturday. Appointments are still strongly encouraged, especially if you are interested in adopting.

OFFICE HOURS

During Office Hours clients can surrender animals, obtain pet licenses, make donations, look for their lost pets and other business and animal control tasks. To better serve our community members, we ask that you call before arriving to make an appointment.
