Free Rabies Vaccine Clinic

Today is World Rabies Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about rabies prevention and the important role vaccination plays in protecting pets, people, and our communities.

Rabies is a deadly but preventable disease, and one of the simplest ways we can protect our community is by keeping our pets vaccinated.

Indiana law requires dogs, cats, and ferrets three months of age and older to maintain a current rabies vaccination. Depending on the vaccine your pet receives and their vaccination history, boosters may be required annually or every three years.

That’s why the Humane Society of St. Joseph County and South Bend Animal Resource Center are teaming up to make rabies prevention a little easier for local families!

Our goal is ambitious: provide up to 2,000 cats & dogs with FREE rabies vaccinations in just three hours.

The clinic is available to St. Joseph County, Indiana residents only, and pre-registration is required for every pet participating.

Registration closes October 4—or sooner if we reach our 2,000-pet capacity. If your cat or dog needs a rabies vaccination, we strongly encourage you to register now and secure your spot.

Registered pet owners will receive an assigned arrival window and additional instructions by email shortly before the clinic. Please watch your inbox as the event approaches.
